Dr. Samir A’agha Juarbe, originally from Caguas, has nurtured his passion for veterinary medicine since childhood. Inspired by observing nature in Puerto Rico, captivated by programs like Animal Planet, and obsessed with Jurassic Park since his early years, he always knew his path would be intertwined with science and animals.
After starting his pre-veterinary studies at Iowa State University, Dr. A’agha Juarbe completed his education with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the same institution in 2015.
Since then, he has dedicated his practice to small animal medicine in the state of Washington, focusing particularly on emergency surgeries, wound management, dental medicine, and critical care. With nearly a decade of experience in the United States, Dr. A’agha now returns to his homeland in Puerto Rico to join Emervet and serve pets and their owners.
His commitment extends beyond individual practice, aiming to revolutionize the client experience in the emergency room, strengthen bonds within the veterinary community, and promote sustainability in the profession. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring nature, and traveling the world.
